What is Structural Integration?
Move Better
Rolf Structural Integration is bodywork physical therapy that focuses on the manipulation of the myofascia across the entire body. The Work is not osteopathy, massage, deep tissue, chiropractic, or craniosacral therapy. Working the connective tissue between the muscles, joints, and bones in a holistic manner realigns the body in gravity. Improvements to body position in structure and function develops support and stability with a body-in-stillness, and improved ease and range with a body-in-motion.
Feel Better
Physical labor, athletic injuries, and trauma can cause a body to fall away from balance causing a body to hold a position out of alignment and allowing additional tension and stress that leads to chronic pain. Rolf Structural Integration does not focus the one area of pain in the body. It is a whole-body approach that provides long-term pain relief by developing an aligned body that is supported in gravity and better able to deal with daily stress and not fall back into pain inducing postures.
